1. Why choose Home Care Choice?
Home Care Choice offers a personalized level of care and attention to each of our clients which cannot be duplicated. With over 30 years of geriatric care experience, we are able provide the right resources to meet a wide range of needs for those who may need a little assistance during the day, to those who are bed bound or suffering from dementia-related infirmities.

2. Why home care as opposed to a nursing home?
The cost of home care is significantly less expensive than nursing home care. More importantly, home care offers a personalized one-on-one quality of service that cannot be duplicated in any other setting. Being able to remain at home, in spite of disabilities, is what most elderly persons choose.

3. Does insurance pay for home care services?
Yes. Long-term care insurance is designed to cover or contribute to the cost of services for in-home care. Check the provisions in your policy or call your long-term care insurance provider for details.

4. How are long-term care claims handled?
Once you have established an initial claim, we will submit all of your long-term care claims directly to your insurance provider as a courtesy to our clients. Additionally, we will coordinate any activities required by the insurance company to help you maximize your benefits.

5. What are the caregiver’s qualifications?
Caregivers are carefully chosen, based on their desire to help people and provide compassion and kindness to our clients. We require that each caregiver have formal training as a certified nurse’s assistant or home health aide. All of our caregivers must have at least 4 years of hands-on experience.

6. Is Home Care Choice bonded and insured?
Absolutely. Your safety and peace of mind is very important to us. We are fully insured and bonded for your protection.

7. Are you licensed by the state?
Yes, we are a registered agency with the Connecticut Department of Consumer Protection (License No. HCA. 0000111).

8. Is Home Care Choice a referral agency?
No. All of our caregivers are employees of Home Care Choice. As such, you as the client are not responsible for withholding taxes, paying payroll taxes or worker’s compensation insurance or filing related tax returns.

9. How are caregivers supervised in the home?
To ensure the quality of care that you expect and deserve, our supervisory staff will make frequent visits to the home. We pride ourselves with the individualized attention we give to each client and we believe this level of service is unparalleled in the industry.
